Is there such a free player that I can view MXF files on? Sony based MXF files will work in XDCAM viewer from Sony and once you install . Avid Media Composer / Mac OS Sierra / MacPro5,1 / 6-Core Intel Xeon. I did a quck search and didn't find a thread on this. What do you all use to play. mfx clips from the finder level? Is there an extension for.

The Console can show you errors that occurred, you can view other information and alter the way Media Composer behaves. If Media Composer is acting up, use the keyboard shortcut to open up the Console and take a look around. You can also find the Console under the Tools menu. Do NOT type commands into the Console unless you know what you are doing.
You can do some serious damage in here. Similar to Tip 2: First, quit out of Media Composer. This forum thread goes into much further detail.

Normally, I can open. Now, we don't have Avid here, we do our editing in Final Cut, and need to find a way to open these files in FC or any adobe-program. I've installde the Avid LE codec pack, but that doesn't seem to be enough.
Iv'e read about a pack called PE, but as far as I can tell, you can only get that by purchasing Avid. Is there any way at all to open these files without avid?
